The team behind INSCAN.
Labio Scientific builds GC-UV detectors and integrated GC-UV instruments for the world's analytical labs and instrument makers.
Built by spectroscopists. Shipped to the world's hardest labs.
Labio's GC-UV programme started in a research lab studying vapour-phase electronic absorption — and the realisation that the same physics could give chromatography a detector that no GC-MS could match for isomer-resolving structural identification. We've spent more than a decade engineering that into INSCAN: a benchtop platform stable enough for routine QC, fast enough for research, and modular enough for OEM integration.
We work hand-in-hand with pharma QC, petrochemical, polymer, food and fragrance labs — and with instrument manufacturers building their own analysers around our detector core. Every INSCAN ships with the same promise: a UV spectrum, every point of every chromatographic run, with library-grade reproducibility.

Linköping University, Sweden — where the GC-UV programme began.
The GC-UV technology behind INSCAN was developed at Linköping University in Sweden, where the founding team studied vapour-phase electronic absorption and proved that a UV detector could give gas chromatography library-grade structural identification across every point of a run.
The first commercial product to come out of that research was named INSCAN 175 — the foundation that today's INSCAN, INSCAN Lab, INSCAN X and INSCAN OEM platforms are built on.
Open to strategic partners and instrument integrators.
Labio works with white-label partners, OEM integrators, channel distributors, and strategic investors aligned with the GC-UV roadmap. The Partner Portal hosts technical documentation, integration kits, and joint go-to-market resources.
Build instruments people stake their results on.
We hire spectroscopists, optical engineers, embedded developers, and analytical chemists. Open roles ship to our careers page periodically — for speculative applications, write to us directly.
