This Privacy Policy explains how Labio a.s. ("Labio", "we", "us") processes personal data collected through gcuvanalysis.com, the Client Portal, and any direct commercial interaction relating to our INSCAN GC-UV instruments and detector platform. We act as the data controller for the personal data described below, in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable national implementing law in the Czech Republic.
1. Data we collect
Information you provide
- Identification and contact details: name, business email, telephone, employer, country, role.
- Application context you submit through forms: target compounds, matrix, throughput, regulatory framework, sample-prep questions.
- Account data when you register for the Client Portal (email, hashed password or federated-identity token, saved assessments).
- Communications you send us by email, contact form, or scheduled call.
Information collected automatically
- Usage telemetry strictly necessary to operate the site (anonymous session ID, page paths, the domain/objective you select in the application picker).
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, referrer, timestamp.
- Cookies and similar storage — see Section 6.
2. Why we process it
- To respond to inquiries, quotes, demo requests, and support tickets.
- To recommend the most appropriate INSCAN configuration via the Client Portal assessment.
- To operate, secure, and improve gcuvanalysis.com (legitimate interest).
- To send commercial communications you have explicitly opted in to (consent).
- To meet legal, accounting, export-control, and quality-management obligations.
3. Legal basis
Depending on the activity, we rely on: consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies), performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (quotes, demos, Client Portal account), legitimate interest (site security, fraud prevention, aggregated analytics), and legal obligation (invoicing, ISO 9001:2015 records, regulated-industry due diligence).
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with: (a) sub-processors that operate our infrastructure under written DPA — hosting, transactional email, Client Portal authentication and database (Lovable Cloud / Supabase, EU region); (b) authorised distributors when you request region-specific support; (c) professional advisers; (d) authorities where legally required.
5. International transfers
Personal data is hosted in the European Union. Where a sub-processor processes data outside the EEA, we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures consistent with EDPB guidance.
6. Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies and similar storage. Strictly-necessary storage (session ID, security tokens, your cookie-consent choice) does not require consent. Analytics and preference cookies load only after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing site storage and reloading the page.
7. Retention
- Inquiry / quote data: 24 months from last interaction.
- Client Portal accounts: until you delete the account, plus 30 days.
- Accounting and contractual records: 10 years (statutory).
- Aggregated analytics: indefinitely, in non-identifying form.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. Requests: info@labioscientific.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, www.uoou.cz).
9. Security
Labio operates an information-security management system aligned with ISO/IEC 27001:2022, including encryption in transit, role-based access control, audit logging, and periodic penetration testing of customer-facing systems.
10. Changes
We will publish material changes to this policy here and update the "effective date" at the top. Substantive changes are also notified to active Client Portal users by email.
